X-rays are radiographic images of your teeth that are used to assess your oral structures. They can detect tooth decay, impacted teeth, abscesses, gum disease and pathologies. Bitewing x-rays detect cavities, periapical x-rays detect issues with the roots of teeth, and panoramic x-rays evaluate your whole mouth. Digital radiographs use 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays.
